AVAILABILITY:

CAN ACCOMMODATE
GROUP SIZES: Maximum 80 in winter; in September and May, accommodations
for up to 130 more in non-winterized cabins.
ACCOMMODATIONS:
23 "Bed & Breakfast" style rooms, some with shared
and some with private baths, in 5 separate buildings-total 47
beds; up to 21 cots can be added to these rooms for maximum occupancy.
In addition, 12 beds may be set up in a dorm-style room. In September
and in May, 13 unheated cabins are available, each with space
for 10 people.
KITCHEN:
Food service provided.
KASHRUT:
Kosher. The kitchen is under the supervision of the Va'ad HaKashrut
of Wilmington, Rabbi Sanford Dresin, Rav HaMachshir. Food is prepared
by Miriam Cabinet Caterers of Cherry Hill, New Jersey, under the
supervision of Rabbi Beryl Rothman of the Va'ad HaKashrut of Philadelphia.
A mashgiach will be present at all meals including warm food,
and arrangements may be made for a mashgiach at other meals as
well.
FACILITIES:
Large multi-purpose space that seats up to 150 theater-style;
another multipurpose space that accommodates 96 people at round
tables, or can be separated into two equal, smaller spaces; children's
club house which doubles as arts & crafts center. Easels,
flipcharts, VCR & monitor, overhead projector, slide projector,
microphones, magic markers, notepads, pens, and general office
supplies.
JEWISH
FACILITIES: Shabbat candles and candle-holders; prayer books,
Bibles, Torah Scroll, Grace After Meals booklets and songbooks,
havdalah set, kippot.
OUTDOOR
RECREATIONAL FACILITIES: Hiking trails, campfire area. Athletic
fields, basketball, volleyball, and tennis courts, beach and fishing
pier. Baseballs & bats, soccer balls, volleyballs, frisbees.
For additional fees, Olympic-size pool, sailing, canoeing, ropes
course, and bike rental.
SPECIAL
FACILITIES: Special program packages including a Challenge
Course (team-building, group communication, problem-solving),
Environmental Studies, Jewish Spirituality and Meditation, Jewish
Studies. Makom Shalom will also help you design your own program
featuring educators, storytellers, musicians, and other resources.
COST PER
PERSON: Under $200 per adult for basic Shabbat package of
2 nights in winterized housing and 6 meals. Children's rates,
bunk rates, weekday overnight rates, and daytime only rates are
available.
